Drawing of a horse anatomy sketch in progress.

Most people who are not good artists usually are trying to hard to draw and using long thick lines. A lot of people have the potential for it. But good artists know that sketching your pictures work a lot better.

Know that instead of drawing you need to sketch your drawing. A lot of artists choose to draw simple shapes first then round them out.

Learn that when sketching you should not push hard on you pencil,Instead only lightly touch the paper so you will have a ghostly thin line that you can still see clearly.

A light short stroke of you pencil is a good thing to do because it's overall easier to erase.

Remember that after sketching the first part of you drawing erase extra lines then go over it with a pen or just push harder on your pencil.

Look to see that your picture should end up looking neat and creative.
